Make a Google Review QR Free
make a Google review QR free · a Google review request sign for customers to scan
Reviews on Google Maps are the first thing a new customer sees before deciding to come in, but most customers never leave one because searching for the shop is a hassle. This tool makes a QR that takes the customer to your shop on Google Maps — and if the link you paste carries a place id, straight to the write-a-review page.
Just paste the shop's Google Maps link and the system makes a good-looking sign, with several polite invitation messages to choose from. Download it to print and stand at the counter, stick on a table, or slip in with the shopping bag.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to have the shop on Google Maps first?
You have to have it first, because this sign takes customers straight to the write-a-review page of your shop's profile. If you do not have one yet, you can create it free at google.com/business, it does not take long, and then come back and paste your shop's map link into the field.
Can I pay for reviews or give things away in exchange for reviews?
You should not. Giving things in exchange for reviews breaks Google's policy and there is a risk that all of the shop's reviews get deleted at once. All this sign does is cut down the steps, so that customers who are already satisfied can write a review more easily.
How many sign styles can I choose from?
There are two to choose from according to where you put it: the single-sheet sign style for sticking on a wall or a window, and the fold-up table style with a fold line so you can stand it on the counter as it is. Both styles print in A4 and A5.
Can I write the review invitation message myself?
You can. The system puts in a starting message for you, but you can edit the whole line into your own shop's words. A message specific to the shop, such as saying that you really read every review, usually works better than the middling sentences you see everywhere.
Does the customer have to log in after scanning?
The customer has to log in to their own Google account to write a review, which is Google's requirement, not ours. Most Android phones are already logged in, so they can tap through and review straight away; on iPhone they may have to log in once.
